Snowflake Card by Alison Rasmussen

Supplies

  • Stardust cardstock
  • Shooting Star cardstock
  • Shooting Star TAC™ metallic dye inkpad
  • Cape Cod TAC™ dye inkpad
  • Cotton Blossom TAC™ shadow dye inkpad
  • Snowflakes TAC™ stamp set
  • Teal fiber
  • 1/8" vintage beige eyelet and tools
  • Hydrasponge
  • Adhesive
  • Trimmer

Instructions

  1. Cut the Shooting Star cardstock in half to 11" x 4.25". Score and fold over to make a vertical greeting card as shown.
  2. Using one of the snowflakes from the Snowflake set, inked in Shooting Star and stamp randomly on the card. (Stamping off the edges will create a more random look.) Ink the snow stamp from the Snowflake set in Cape Cod, and fill in the background as shown.
  3. Trim a piece of Stardust cardstock to 4.5" x 3.25".
  4. Using one sixth of the hydrasponge, brush the edges of the Stardust cardstock lightly.
  5. Ink a large snowflake in Cotton Blossom, and stamp randomly on the Stardust cardstock. Ink the next smaller snowflake in Cape Cod and stamp over the top of the Cotton Blossom flakes. Fill in the background with the snow stamped in Shooting Star ink.
  6. Mount the stamped image to the center of the Shooting Star card.
  7. Cut or punch a small tag out of a scrap of Shooting Star cardstock.
  8. Using a small snowflake, ink in Cotton Blossom and stamp randomly on the tag. With a miniature snowflake, stamp over the top of the Cotton Blossom flakes with Shooting Star ink.
  9. Stamp greeting in Cape Cod ink.
  10. Punch a hole and set the cream colored eyelet as shown, and thread the teal fiber through the eyelet. Tie with a simple square knot.
  11. Mount the tag on an angle to the stardust stamped background as shown.
