What's an Angel Policy?
Most rubber stamp images are protected under federal
and international copyright laws. Most rubber stamp companies
permit the purchaser of the stamp to hand-stamp the image for
personal use without royalty payments.
When it comes to creating items for sale, trade
(such as card swaps) or even fund-raising gifts, policies vary
from company to company. When a company has an Angel Policy, this
means the purchaser of the stamp is permitted to use the image
on items for both personal items and items for sale and trade,
as long as each item is hand-stamped, and no mechanical reproduction
is involved.
All
stamped images in The Angel Company™ catalog are covered
by this Angel Policy. Even demonstrators are allowed and encouraged
to sell their hand-stamped creations for
profit!
Before you begin any sellable projects, make sure
the stamps you've chosen are covered by an Angel Policy. If you're
not sure, contact the stamp manufacturer for details. These policies
are often posted online, and companies are usually prepared to
give them to you in a timely fashion.
